The Excellent EdVenture Episode 3.

The guys spend a few minutes catching up on what they’ve been doing lately. Rick talks a little about his favorite game for family game night and Nick opines about his favorite parking garage and good news regarding Danielle’s recovery. Nick then jumps into this week’s blog entitled “Morty’s Miracle.” The guys discuss the benefits of community and family.

In the “Building the Brochure” segment, Dr. Nick and Dr. Rick begin their investigation into Search Institute’s research into the 40 Developmental Assets. For this first week, they share experiences and reactions to the first two – Family Support and Positive Family Communication. The guys discuss research on the benefits of Family Dinners and different ideas for intentionally prioritizing family time.

The guys dig back into the mailbag in the last segment to respond to more fan questions. Nick shares valuable advice for a parent having some difficulty with her daughter’s teacher. Rick responds to a listener who is having a difficult time finding a counselor for their teenage daughter. And both guys share their approach to eating movie theater popcorn.
